3D ARTWORK

One of my main tasks working for Arcturus was making visual demos to show the potential of spatial video. For this demo I used a Freestyle BMX’er in a DIY skatepark I modeled and then put it in the Tilt Five Headset.

The same Environment was used to make the Splash Art seen above, which was rendered in Cinema 4D and uses several frames from another BMX Capture.

I made the film poster for ASTEROID, a short film and app experience. The Astronaut was the film asset that was posed and rendered in Cinema4D, and the rest was done by me in Photoshop.

There were several projects during my time at Arcturus centered around using Spatial Video Captures of Actors to create marketing materials. This is a small collection of images I generated to use for marketing.

This demo was built for the Sony SRD, a fixed spatial display screen. We wanted to show a capture in motion and I decided to do an infinite treadmill style experience. This was built in Unreal and displayed on the Sony SRD at shows.

Animation & RIGGING

I was lucky enough to be brought on to the Google Playground project, for Lens 3, as the lead rigging artist for the Pets crew. This turned out to be very intensive and one of the more detailed and nuanced rigs I’ve built. All of the pets were rigged and skinned by myself and Ewan Johnson.

I’ve been skateboarding for a long time, and nothing is more iconic than a well executed kickflip. I was inspired by one of my favorite skaters, Samarria Brevard, and used audio from one of her clips.

This creature, a “Chull”, was fully created by me from concept through rigging. I then animated the full moveset so it could be a cute interactable character with the player in VR.

This creature, a “Cremling”, was also designed and created by me. Meant to be a small bug that crawls around and burrows in the ground, it needed to be extremely light to render and compute. It uses barely any polys or bones.
